Just be sure you don’t mix up Dallas and Fort-worth, the bordering city that is known for its many free parking areas. Diligence is the key to find free parking in the city.

Parking Rules in Dallas:
There isn’t much free parking around the city if you’re in a business district, but we’ve been able to dig up a couple of places where you can park for free with parking validation.
Free parking downtown
- The Interurban Garage at 1500 Jackson St. offers two hours of free parking with lobby validation
- All Deep Ellum parking meters are free before 6 PM on weekdays
- A number of downtown hotels offer free parking when you stay. They include Canvas Hotel, Hyatt Regency, Crowne Plaza, and the Sheridan.
- Park at a DART station for free and ride into downtown on public transportation.
